The HDR-HC7... A Rare Commodity? (a rant)

For 3 months I've been waiting for the HDR-HC7 to come out in western Canada, now only 1 has just arrived at our local Sony Store.

According to a salesperson, the HC7 is an expensive camera and is in limited supply.

Really? In the US, you can find an HC7 practically at all electronics stores...

I don't know what the problem is but the shipment bound for western Canada (or Canada in general) better be larger than that... And another weird fluke by Sony is the HDR-SR8 100GB HDD AVCHD camera for Canada and Europe only...

And it seems like the world (or basically fate) wants me to switch to the Canon HV20, but after my experience with the Optura 20 (breaking down after 1 year or less due to a blown capacitor from overcharging the battery) I'm buying Sony again cause you don't want your camera to break down that fast... (and yes, The HV20 has the exact same power supply as the Optura 20)
