Recession makes for selfishness

(Important Note: This is an unbiased post about world conditions.)

There is no more sympathy, no more giving change to the poor, no more care in the world because they all think about is protecting their money.

What would be more important to you right now? Hugging a person who just lost his/her loved one or rushing to the bank to see if your mortgage and savings are still intact?

For most people, the money choice is what they'd pick.

And what about the homeless and moneyless? All they care about is each other since money is the 2nd highest importance compared to their most important instinct: just surviving on the street. And with support from peers, they make it through each day not being selfish and caring for each other.

But one thing happens no matter what economic condition. Selfishness consumes decisions about "Insignificant People" and whether there should be help to them. 99% of people think charities will fix all of those problems. They sometimes don't. A majority think religion can help, sometimes, that doesn't neither. Only action can have a result.

What do I feel about the world? The glass is empty, case dismissed.

But hey, we're all guilty of this, it's not too late to do something.

FileFront being shutdown!?!

Oh Damn... Now I have to move my videos to somewhere else...

Viddler looks promising with Original file Download.

Edit: It looks like it won't be shut down... They've resumed operations as of right now...

If you see me near or at The Centre on May 10th

1. I have a ticket, and I don't have any cameras.

or

2. I'm holding a sign saying "Don't even ask, I don't have tickets, I'm filming "I'm not Crying"" and I'll bring my HDV camera and a tripod.

What's so important that day? Cause that's the day Flight of the Conchords come to Vancouver.

And the ways things are going (with post-secondary applications a mess and getting super depressed about the TV series most likely just ending), the outcome is more likely to be #2 and nothing else. No miracles, no sympathy, no nothing.

Even the fan in LA that got on New Zealand network PRIME's documentary about FOTC and they just held a sign saying "Will Dance Robot for Spare Tickets" got REALLY lucky. It was a miracle on her part, but it won't happen to me.

There is no hope too that the magic person would come along and save everything. (this can be said of everything right now)

Even if this post was a Craigslist Want to Buy inquiry, I would think no one would want to give it away.

The glass is half-empty. Period.

Wondering where the HD Groovitron Video went?

I moved the HD version to Vimeo:

Japanese Groovitron Fever (HD version) from Jack Zhang on Vimeo.

Also, in related news, someone decided to put the video on the front page of their WordPress site. 500 Views that were redirected... That's why I'm finally posting it here on my Blog again as an embed. (last time it was a link)

Update on Korean Karaoke cover/parody

It will now be in Chinese.

Yes, it seems FOTC looked to 70s Taiwan Music, and it's perfect cause my first language is Mandarin.

Look for the Chinese Karaoke soon on Vimeo.

Bret's Korean Karaoke... My parody/cover coming soon.

I've had great interest in the Korean Karaoke done by Bret in last week's episode of Flight of the Conchords. Since we (when it was me and Garland) are one of the few Asian Flight of the Conchords tribute acts (not live though, only through online videos). It was fitting for me to be Bret and get this opportunity to get people too see footage I shot during my LA trip.

I'm just waiting on the new green screen to arrive at the school, then the video production can continue.

But for now, more Math on my tablet. (and it's not as gruesome as you think, in the last while, it's been quite enjoyable)
