Happy New Year?

With all this talk of gloom and doom (Just look at the daily headlines on the PS3's "Life with Playstation"), the general hope is a prosperous New Year every New Year. Are we sure on that? Fate has no side so that proves that "the predictable thing about life is it's unpredictability."

I don't expect much change in the early days of 09, but what happens afterwards is anyone's guess.

I also expect for the first half of 09, I won't have any social activity nor friends since I'll be highly busy on my Math grade which mandatoringly has to be a B or above. After graduation however, that might change, but it's not guaranteed.

And I'm still waiting for that x200 Tablet...

A miserably long wait for my Tablet.

According to CDW Canada and NetworkSupply.ca, My Lenovo x200 tablet (if Rock Computer doesn't get it from the Toronto warehouse) won't be available until January 9th and won't get delivered to me until after that... and I ordered on December 5th.

This, and 70+ cm of snow, just brings on my S.A.D and Depression at the sametime.

I'm trying my hope on the 2 that are at the Toronto warehouse and will be asking on Monday. But I don't know if I can even hang on to hope (in general) anymore.

a more fair Folding@home project

http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=7590

With point per day values similar to those of the 5506 project, this balances out the processing of the larger molecule work units, now, if only this was put on 171.64.65.20 instead of 171.67.108.11. I've permanently blocked that server via our firewall for fetching out the 511 point unbalanced work units and for Project 5748.

Winter Break is finally here.

Time for me to finish up watching Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Yeah, this is a short post, kinda like what you do on Twitter. But I'll only use that once the time is right.

Guess who's Steam profile I just found?

This guy's:

Click the picture to see his Steam profile.
It seems we both have Steam accounts and Team Fortress 2. Now the wait begins to see if we ever get online at the same time... and maybe talking about the Angry Dances sooner than 3 years time?

Edit: ...though that might be doubtful, now that I know he's been on Steam since 2004...

Uncharted 2...

...May or may not mean a J&D PS3 sequel is lost forever.

Let's explore both sides:

"Yes, this is the end of J&D":

The company seems to have not expanded, resources seem to focus on the new franchise, and we probably need to wait another year to see if they return to the PS3, which there is a possibility that they might not.

"No, I predict something else":

Maybe they're working on a PSN sized J&D game similar to Ratchet: Q4B. Maybe they did expand, hoping to release 2 games within 2-4 months of each other. Or it's still in the back of their minds and we'll just see.

----

I actually predict (no, guarantee) that a web petition I made a long time ago might be garnering a lot more signatures right now because of this news.

New Vlog entry

A person I know from DeviantArt should pay attention to this one.

The prick flamer comes back.

Remember this post?

It seems he has returned to my blog rudely re-introducing himself again to my last post about finishing the CBI video.

Update: and just did his "haha" trick again on my Zoomfest results post.

I've had it. I'll be making a report of cyberbullying to our school administrators ASAP.

The end of an era, Garland has left to go on his own.

This means the Extreme Activities Competition video is incomplete and will never be complete.

He's starting a series called "5 Minutes with the Chang Man". Unfortunately, it does not hit it with current Youtube viewers (giving him 2 ratings of 1/5). I tried to offer help but he rejects all help I can give now.

I'm kind of shifting my mind away from video editing for now to try to do digital onion skin animation (2D animation that isn't Flash and is traditionally drawn frame by frame.) But I guess I better complete what I can with the current leftover projects that are still incomplete: The other SNL project (involving Lombaxes) and the Flight of the Conchords Karaoke.

CBI video is done, just in time to brag about it against...

...this video:

Looks like ACE-IT taught them well, but here's something no South student has ever done before: get contracted by a private company to produce a video...

That's something I can be GLaD about. (Yes, I did use GLaD as in GLaDOS.)

Zoomfest awards night is tonight...

But let's really try to ignore that and focus on this:

We have bought the laptop without the Ultrabase and I've devised a plan that uses the guts from a external 500GB hard drive (the SATA to USB controller chip) to use a internal DVD drive so that I can load software such as Microsoft OneNote onto my laptop once I get it without the ultrabase. (but currently none are in stock, but they will ship it once they do have some. Latest word from CDW (cause I think they share warehouses with techdata.com) is that 1 is incoming to the Guelph, Ontario warehouse.)

The CBI Standard def DVD is still in the process of making subtitles, the rest is done, but the subtitles will take a while.

An Urgent request!

I have researched on the internet and the Lenovo X200 model Rock Computer suggested yesterday was a NON-TABLET (the 7454, priced at $1345).

I have now stumbled onto the 74499EU, priced only slightly more at around $1450 (though it is $1749.99 MSRP), but with features that should be double it's price. But I have turned up completely empty as to whether it is a true tablet or not, or if the build quality is lower... So if you have this Notebook, please tell me:

Is it a real Tablet or not? and how's the build quality?

And just as a heads-up, this is what it's supposed to look like:

Edit: After searching up support documents for this model and finding that the official Lenovo site lists it as a Tablet, I have to take their word and say it's a Tablet. (unless any major objections come up)

The end of all my online activities for now.

I am announcing the end of all my online activities from now until a unset date in the future. This means I will not log onto Steam for a very long time, post any new videos for a very long time, or post much on my blog or any forum for a very long time.

I still need to check on everything once in a while just in case any of my accounts have a inactivity expiration date thing, just not on certain things like Steam. But it will all be viewing, not posting.

My Desktop will also turn into a "Server" (Work Unit crunching server) for Folding@home and SETI@home, my PS3 will be the "Server" for Folding@home too.

Hope all of you won't miss me, This is all because of a contract I signed to get a new Tablet PC, the Lenovo X200 with a Intel Core 2 Duo P8600, to help with all of my homework in Art and Math.

The CBI video is done.

It has just been burned onto BD-5 (DVD-R with Blu-ray contents on it). It will play in any Blu-ray player.

Now comes the wait for the rest of CBI to see it.
