I might need more help.

It is a personal issue but my future is in big debate at this very moment, and that's all I'm gonna say. The rest goes into personal roads that should not be known publicly.

But I'm sticking to the clause of not going on any forum (with the exception of DVinfo.net) during the school year. And I've revived my tester dream, but only on Summer Breaks.

Fortunately, my Video editing and videotography skills have not diminished one bit in this debate.

The bad...

Got worse.

My HC7 (which was sent in to be fixed for a blotchy LCD) was refused service because the Sony repair center (without receiving any notes about my camera whatsoever) thought it was self-mistreatment that caused my blotches. Not true.

I checked with one guy who also has an HC7 and he came up with this far more viable conclusion:

"I'd begin to suspect that one or more of the layers that go into making the actual panel is missing or defective (unless of course there's a protective film that sure doesn't look to be there). It looks to me like a de-lamination or contamination between two layers of the panel.

I've deconstructed a couple of these LCD panels on defunct digital cameras (no touchscreen) just for amusement and education - they have LOTS of layers, and anything gets in there, and you can get blotches... usually though the blotches would be more indistinct - yours are very well defined and growing..."

He might be right, here are two photos taken more than one month apart:

We might go together to pick it up and explain this once again clearly that we need to replace the LCD. I hope for the best...

My suggestions = Insult on the Insomniac Games Forums

From this day on, I will never suggest anything on that forum cause everytime I suggest something, I get attacked for saying I'm insulting Insomniac!

For Example: I make a simple suggestion for a VFX software for use in some pre-rendered cinematics without thinking and here's the attack:

"Maybe you should shut up and let them do it as they damn wel lplease. They've done great so far without your help."

And here's a new one from an undisclosed moderator:

"It has come to a level of harrassement and near-spamming. We won't tolerate it anymore.

Face it Jack, you don't know ALL and you're in no position to tell IG how to do their job."

Here's how it all started. my AS curiosity got the best of me after I saw this VFX software on TV, I go to the boards and make a simple suggestion. Then I get attacked for it! <-ventingsteam->I was making a simple suggestion and I get that kind of attack? Are they all fed up with me? They think I'm a know it all little brat? I'm NOT!

I'm taking a one... no, two or more month absence from that board cause no one gives a dang about what I post.
<-/ventingsteam->

But James S., if you monitor my blog (which I doubt but I still have a little hope you do.) I'm not the kind of guy that insults like this. Mike Lepore could even back me up on that (check the comments, he posts in my comments all the time.).

And because of this, Instead of locking up all my game consoles (which I already have.), I'm locking up my Insomniac games cause I don't want a reminder of this to haunt me in my school year. The incident back in April (which was far more serious than this) nearly ruined my previous school year. Meaning I'll have to take an extra year of school.

Lengthy post, but it's well worth it. Cause this is one of those turning points in my life. There goes the video gaming tester position (unless someone can perk me back up on it), now it's Voice Acting as a last hope.

A Chinese Video Game Music Video

Of Sly Cooper...

Yes, Yachen is my legal and Chinese name.

Just a Reminder

Just a reminder to check out my Stage6 profile at http://stage6.divx.com/user/jackvancouver for more HD greatness from my HC7. (Which is unfortunately under repair right now for a blotchy LCD screen. More Details on my Stage6 Blog.)

Incredible!

I just got an E-mail back from Kellee Santiago saying that they LOVED my Cloud video!

They were very inspired, just like I was playing their game! I hope the video makes it into the Blu-ray version of Cloud for PS3 (if it exists...)

I would've never expected that!

Back from China

I'm back from China and I can finally post in my Blog cause all blogs from outside China are blocked in China by The Great Firewall of China.

Anyway, I went to an awesome place in China called JiuZhaiGou Valley and HuangLong

I have lots of HD video from there (18 minues in fact, with the file at 1GB) and it might be up on Stage6 later on.

I also want to dedicate a video to Kellee Santiago and Jenova Chen of thatgamecompany and it'll be up soon on Stage6.

And if you've been staying tuned to my Youtube, you might already know I'm making a Sly Cooper Chinese language VMV, well, capture for the clips might start tomorrow. Look forward to the video coming up soon.

That's all for now, I'll update this post when I have the links to the videos.

Update: Here is the Kellee Santiago and Jenova Chen dedication video on Cloud.

Update #2: and Here is the HD video of JiuZhaiGou and all those places (Warning: Video is 1GB in size!)
