The CityNews List makes me want to draw...

It's official, I'm hooked on the CityNews List.

And now, to show my appreciation, my next major Art project will pay homage to the show by drawing the colorful characters on the show in the style of Family Guy.

I will make updates on my DeviantArt and see if this goes any further.

What is the CityNews List? It's this: http://thelist.citytv.com (Like Family Guy, this may contain some content that might offend some people)

Losing self-confidence

What I said in the Angry/Happy Dance Interlude Part 1 was no joke, I am losing self confidence.

You see, After I made the original Jack's Angry Dance, Vimeo provided a grounds where people appreciated my work, boosting my self-confidence a little.

Flight of the Conchords lipdubs was now my new specialty and my increased self confidence level is highly based on that.

Now, with FOTC possibly ending their TV series and a very high possibility that I'll miss their Vancouver Concert, My confidence has dropped really really low. The only things holding me together are:

*The Greedy Productions prospect

*The Canucks' amazing playoff run

*My Math and Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm

Now every dream I have about FOTC that was supposed to be joyful makes me wake up hyper-depressed as you realize it's never gonna happen. (kind of like the story of the Weezer song "Beverly Hills")

But, if the movie "What the bleep do we know?" is right, you can set your own reality and it minutely changes the rest of the universe in ways you don't think is possible. Find out more about that film here... Whether that can help me remains to be seen.

The recent Twitter media blitz... don't buy it.

Sure, Ashton Kutcher might have 1 million followers, but if you don't pre-authorize stuff like that with the Twitter admins, expect to get suspended (AKA banned).

Before the marketing tactics of Hollywood stars using the service gets you to start Twittering, keep this in mind: Twitter is very strict on spam and virtually has a zero-tolerance policy on it. If the admins see something suspicious, the account is automatically banned.

If you do decide to Twitter, big brother (the admins) will be watching what you do and how your follower stats rank up.

I find allowing Ashton Kutcher to turn up 1 million followers yet banning Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords for having too many followers very hard to believe. Do you really want to join a site who's banning practices are that irregular?

New FOTC Lipdub

Kudos goes to whomever figures out what major film was filming BEHIND my camera...

On the heels of the desire to Twitter...

I found that Flight of the Conchords' Jemaine had his account suspended! He is VERY popular, but this does not bode well for his account since if mass amounts of people follow you, they flag you for spam. (same goes for an unbalanced following/follower ratio) And it's not really the community that flags stuff, the admins (and only them) do...

In my right as Free Speech: This is questionable conduct, reaction to only community flagged accounts would be a lot more fair.

Now I say: No thank you... I'm sticking with a Blog and not twittering after hearing this news...

I've never used Myspace, Facebook, Twitter or any other social networking site... and am proud of it.

Greedy now Twitters/Reviews on the Run has it's own site

Victor Lucas, Jose Sanchez, and the shows EP Daily and Reviews on the Run are now twittering away on Twitter.

Speaking of Reviews on the Run, it appears they're still doing the show as evidenced by the just launched www.reviewsontherun.com (it's a real site now!)

COMM 0015 test

Hey blog followers,

I'm just curious about this COMM 0015 test at BCIT. It's computerized, but I truly want a gauge on how hard it is from someome who's actually done the test.

If you've taken the test, leave a comment to explain the hardness the test in the form of a review (but no giving questions away).

Driver's license required?

And no, we're not talking ID and such for liquor, we're talking about this part of the program description for BCIT's Broadcast Television Program:

"Television students must have a valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle in Levels 1 through 4."

from http://www.bcit.ca/study/programs/610cdiplt

I'll try to find out the truth tonight at their info session. If this is true, I can't go there as I'm not in the position to delay schooling just to get a driver's license.

Better yet, anyone have an answer to this mystery?

And for those wondering why the change of heart towards BCIT, well, You can thank a CBC Vancouver ENG cameraman and reporter for that. Bumped into them at the Vancouver Aquarium on the Monday of spring break.

Edit: The session is over, and the answer is:

It's a preference. It's not a requirement to have a driver's license, there are ways to get around this obstacle.

Therefore, BCIT is still open for me to apply. (Just have an English exam to complete in order for full acceptance...)
